
Devil’s Peak
If you are looking for a short hike while also want to explore Hong Kong’s history, Devil’s Peak is definitely the hike to consider. Devil’s peak is an adventurous and convenient hike for people staying in Hong Kong island and Kowloon side.

Take the MTR to Yau Tong Station and take Exit A to Domain Mall and make your way to Ko Chiu Road

From here ascend towards Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery . This trail is marked by a sign on the side of the road. Keep walking on the hill till you see a sign for Wilson Trail.


Cross the road and take staircase for the Wilson Trail


From here ascend towards to the sign of Devils Peak. This Trail is well paved and gently slope its way up. Once on the trail starts you will notice how peaceful and harmonious the natural surroundings are there, trees also curve inward giving plenty of shade to you throughout the trail.
After ascending few meters you will find way to Gough Battery.

Gough Battery was built in 1898 and features 2 gun pits. Be sure to take some time exploring these fortification as there are many hidden places are there.
After exploring Gough Battery head towards the same path, than you will see the staircase, which is pretty steep , climb up to that.

After climbing this you will find the beautiful view of Hong Kong. From Devil’s Peak you can see both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon island.


Once you are done admiring the beautiful scenery make your way down the same way you came.
