Dragon’s Back

Dragon’s Back trail is a classic and one of the most popular trails in Hong Kong. This trail is accessible throughout the year with beautiful mountains and forest views. It provides a spectacular view of southern Hong Kong island and its shoreline

You can take an MTR to Shau Kei Wan station and from the station take Exit A3 and after walking few steps only you will find bus terminus, from there take bus no. 9.

After taking bus no. 9, get down at To Tei Wan -Dragon’s Backstop.This is the starting point for the hike. Here washrooms are also available at the starting of the hike.

After walking few minutes, you will find beautiful viewpoints:

Enjoy the beautiful blue water and the incredible coastline here. After this first viewpoint start walking towards ridge of the Dragon’s back. It’s a beautiful way with lush green trees and rocky mountains.

After walking few miles, you will find the Shek O Peak view point. Enjoy the beautiful view points of Shek O and Big Way beach here. 

So after enjoying these sights you can just move towards Shek O or you can continue towards Big Wave Bay for finishing the trail. So we started moving towards Big Wave Bay. In between few short waterfalls were also there, but as we had gone in October those waterfalls were dry, but in spite of that we managed to click pictures with them.

After reaching Big Wave Beach, it will greet you with shimmering white waves and blue sky. Big Wave Beach is famous for surfing.

From here take a red minibus with a to Shau Kei Wan station.
